An accomplished draftsman and sculptor, Verne Funk taught drawing and ceramics at Bradley University, and then at Texas Tech at Lubbock. He has retired from teaching and lives in San Antonio, Texas, where he has built a studio in which to continue his work. His works are in numerous private and public collections. They have been featured in over 300 exhibitions.
